A new generation of robotic mowing has arrived
There’s never been a better time to hand the mowing over to a robot. Robotic Mowing Solutions is excited to welcome the new Kress EyePilot Gen2 range, with options for everything from suburban lawns to large, challenging properties.
Husqvarna’s Automower range also offers excellent choices. Here’s how the new EyePilot models compare with Husqvarna mowers suited to similar lawns.
Smart mowing for everyday lawns
The Kress EyePilot KR250A is designed for lawns up to 700 m². Its closest match is the Husqvarna Automower 308V, rated for up to 800 m².

Both offer wire-free mowing, app control and obstacle awareness. Kress combines satellite positioning with EyePilot vision-based navigation and includes built-in 4G connectivity. The 308V pairs Husqvarna’s EPOS satellite positioning with AI vision technology.
For a little more ground to cover, compare the Kress EyePilot KR261A, designed for up to 1,000 m², with the Husqvarna Automower 312V, rated for up to 1,200 m². The KR261A adds Kress’s ZeroTrim system to help reduce the edge work left for you. Both mowers can create orderly mowing patterns for a neat finish.
Bigger lawns, bigger possibilities
The Kress EyePilot KR282A can mow up to 4,000 m² over two days, making it an exciting option alongside the Husqvarna Automower 410 iQ, rated for lawns up to 2,000 m². The KR282A brings four-wheel drive and an articulated body for difficult terrain, with Kress rating it for slopes up to 84%. The 410 iQ offers a generous 25–100 mm cutting-height range, radar-based object detection and a choice of virtual or physical boundaries.
For even larger properties, the Kress EyePilot KR285A can mow up to 10,000 m² over two days. Its Husqvarna counterpart here is the Automower 440 iQ, rated for lawns up to 8,000 m². The KR285A’s four-wheel-drive design is built for demanding ground, while the 440 iQ offers flexible boundary options and radar-based object detection.
The 410 iQ and 440 iQ belong to Husqvarna’s iQ range, while the 308V and 312V are its camera-equipped Vision models.
The right mower starts with the right lawn
Area figures are only a starting point. Slopes, trees, narrow passages, separate lawn areas, grass type and connectivity all affect which mower will work best on your property.
Kress EyePilot receives its satellite-positioning corrections over the air and includes Wi-Fi and integrated 4G connectivity. Husqvarna’s wire-free EPOS setup uses Husqvarna Cloud coverage or a reference station. The 410 iQ and 440 iQ include a reference station; the 308V and 312V list it as a separate purchase if Cloud coverage is unavailable.

That is where Robotic Mowing Solutions can help. We’ll look at your lawn, explain the practical differences and recommend a mower that fits the property.
